A CELEBRATION OF LIFE

Memories are probably the most important thing in a persons life. Be it their own memories or those of people who have loved and cared for them. Saying a final goodbye to someone, as they end life's journey is a deeply emotional trial for those who are left behind.

 

My aim is to make your last goodbye a very special one and individual to the person you have lost, and create a service which captures the essence of a loved one.

 

I will meet you in a place where you feel at ease. Your home or a relatives home. A dedicated place for bereaved families. Any location you feel comfortable with. In general conversation and with respect to you and your family and your lost loved one,

 

Through conversation,(and if possible a photograph of the person that has passed), I will try to understand and get to know, the person who has passed and prepare a personalised service based on their life. Including their idiosyncrasies and sayings, likes and dislikes, religious background (if they have had one), favourite songs/singers,  as well as any humorous stories, which can help bring back fond memories and perhaps help a loved one or a friend smile or remember the life that was.

 

I will explain the process in lay mans terms so that you know what to expect on the day.

 

I will find out all I can about the person, the family tree, circle of friends and loved ones and prepare a service personalised to them and you, for their final journey. 

 

There may be relatives who wish to pay their respects by reciting a poem or speak about your loved one, you may want to display treasured photos, or have a video with music playing at the service. I will strive to meet all of your requirements.

 

I can help with Hymns or favorite songs which are played at the start of, during or after the service. I can provided readings (religious and non religious) and poems if required for people who want to share in the celebration of a life.

 

It is your service for your loved one. I will endevour to include, whatever you require to ensure that your loved one has a service which captures the true essence of a lived life. 

 

I will conduct services in both Crematoria and at the Graveside as well as in Churches and Funeral Parlours and other venues chosen by you and your Funeral Director.

I will also explain fully our charges for the service and you will in most instances, find that our charges, are less,than those your Funeral Director is recommending, as they tend to use the same Celebrants all the time, which means there is no need for them to be competitive.
